Eildon Housing Association (CHR) is a locally based charitable housing association with around 1800 properties distributed throughout the Scottish Borders, with many of the developments located in rural communities.

Eildon (CHR) aims to work in partnership with local communities and others to provide a wide range of affordable and secure quality homes and related support/care services for those in need. The association has a comprehensive development programme and works in partnership with Scottish Borders Council, Communities Scotland and Scottish Borders Enterprise to provide new homes for people in housing need.

A large proportion of the association's stock is designed for single people or couples, with approximately a third of these properties dedicated to the particular needs of older people in the form of amenity and sheltered housing. Eildon (CHR) operates a points based allocations policy.

Amongst Eildon’s objectives are:

  • The provision of affordable rented housing for people in need.
  • The development of low cost home ownership initiatives for those unable to access home ownership through other means.
  • The provision of care and support solutions for those unable to support a tenancy without help.
  • The provision of a quality maintenance service, and assistance to existing tenants with housing management issues.

Eildon Housing Association Ltd (CHR) has a subsidiary organisation, Eildon Tweed Valley Housing Association Ltd, through which it provides Agency Services to other housing associations.

More information, including stock details and rental charges can be found in the Guide to Housing Options.
