Wheelchair

Housing built or adapted for wheelchair users. It is built or adapted to give extra floor area, ramped or level access and will have bathroom adaptations and other features such as raised sockets.

The Disabled Persons Housing Service (Borders) offers advice and information to disabled people either living in or wishing to live in the Borders area, and who have particular housing needs or housing problems. This service gives disabled people the chance to consider their housing needs and what options are available to them.
